DYNAMIND HEALING – THE CROWN CHAKRA

I learned the Dynamind Technique for healing physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dis-ease from Hawaiian shaman, Serge Kahili King, Ph.D. Dynamind is a combination of words, breath and movements that work together to release any tension causing imbalances in your chakras and your life.

THE CROWN CHAKRA

Located at the top of the head, the seventh chakra, the Crown Chakra, connects us to spirit, the Divine and cosmic consciousness.

It transcends the physical and enters the realm of pure thought or higher consciousness. It vibrates with the energy of the color violet or diamond white.

Physical health issues commonly associated with the Crown Chakra include hypersensitivity to light, sound and the environment, cerebral and central nervous system disorders, and chronic exhaustion. Emotional or mental health issues include a feeling of aloneness or detachment, worry, depression, a loss of meaning, and psychoses.

When the Crown Chakra is balanced, you feel on the path to your destiny, an enhanced sense of spirituality, access to the subconscious, and a sense of calm and peace.

USING DYNAMIND TO BALANCE THE CROWN CHAKRA:

1) FOCUS – Hold your hands out in a loose prayer-like position.

2) DECLARE – Say aloud the condition you’re feeling that you would like to change, e.g.,

“I feel separate and alone and I know that can change. I want that feeling to go away.”

“My nerves are frayed and I know that can change. I want my hypersensitivity to noise to go away.”

If you have no symptoms to release, you can use Dynamind to strengthen the Crown Chakra, with a declaration such as:

“I’m not as peaceful and calm as I want to be. I want to be more aware of the beauty all around me.”

3) RELEASE – Tap 7 times on the center of your chest, then at the point between the thumb and forefinger of each hand, and on the top bone of your spine (the 7th cervical vertebra).

4) BREATHE – Direct your breath, inhaling with your attention on the crown of your head, exhaling with your attention below your feet.

Repeat until you feel the desired result.

Balance the Throat Chakra with Dynamind

Is it easy for you to get your ideas heard? Are you in tune with what you really want? Do you feel a connection to divine inspiration? I learned Dynamind, an energy healing tool, from Serge Kahili King, PhD. Here, you can try it to strengthen your Throat Chakra, and be able to shout YES to the three questions above.

THE THROAT CHAKRA

Located in the back of the throat area, the fifth chakra, the Throat Chakra, is the focal point of sound, communication and self-expression. This chakra center allows us to hear and understand information, express our inner truth and make ourselves heard. It vibrates with the energy of the color sky blue.

Emotional or mental health issues include criticism of the self or others, excessive talking or the inability to find the right words, shyness and frustration. Physical health issues commonly associated with the Throat Chakra include sore throats, upper respiratory illnesses, thyroid problems, stiff neck and stuttering.

When the Throat Chakra is balanced, you have confidence in your beliefs and the words to express them, the ability to hear and communicate well with others, and it allows the heart and the head to align.

USING DYNAMIND TO BALANCE THE THROAT CHAKRA

1) FOCUS – Hold your hands out in a loose prayer-like position.

2) DECLARE – Say aloud the condition you’re feeling that you would like to change, e.g.,

“I feel nauseous knowing I have to give a speech and I know that can change. I want that feeling to go away.”

“I have an earache and I know that can change. I want that pain to go away.”

If you have no symptoms to release, you can use Dynamind to strengthen the Throat Chakra, with a declaration such as:

“I’m not as articulate as I want to be. I want to impact others with my knowledge, with a strong voice like the best of teachers.”

Too Much Work To Do? Think Vacation!

“Treat every day like it’s the day before vacation, and you will get more work done!” ~ Zig Ziglar

Have a deadline facing you? Or just procrastinating on writing or reading a book, doing your taxes (I filed an extension, did you?) or setting up your new website?

Follow these tips to help you treat every day like you are leaving on vacation tomorrow:

 • Be organized. Make a list. Be organized in your work and in your life, as if you were leaving on a jet plane tomorrow! Make a checklist of everything you’ve got to get done today — then see exactly where you can fit in your most important tasks.
 • Delegate. When you go on vacation, you probably leave other people in charge of things, like taking care of your pet or getting your mail. What time-consuming, non-work activities are you doing that you can delegate to someone else, a family member or an intern or colleague that could help you with things like research, website updates and other business tasks?
 • Let the unimportant stuff slide. Don’t get sidetracked cleaning out the garage, shopping for a new swimsuit for your vacation – turn the 80/20 rule around (that 20% of your efforts will bring you 80% of your reward). Spend 80% of your time on the 20% of your activities that will bring you success.
 • Do the hard stuff first. Face the stuff you don’t enjoy first – paying bills, editing your book, writing a report, reading a tutorial, for instance. Then, you can get to the more fun, creative work you love, for instance, writing a book or designing a new product.
 • Unplug. It’s a good idea to unplug appliances when you leave for vacation and an even better idea to unplug from social media and your phone during scheduled work time. Complete your daily work goals before checking emails, returning phone calls and blogging.
 • Get serious. Make a commitment to tackle your daily to-do list. If you were really coming to visit me in Hawaii the next day and wouldn’t be back for a week, you’d have to get it done, right?
 • Meditate. Seriously, taking a 10-minute break to meditate will reduce stress, sharpen your cognitive skills and still your chattering mind to let inspiration flow in. To download a FREE 10-minute Chakra Meditation that will do the trick, go to www.http://www.thechakras.org/meditations.html.

Check your to-do list to make sure it’s doable, prioritize, delegate, and keep in mind the goal of lying in the hammock out in the sun after your work’s done.

When you do, you’ll not only get more done in a shorter amount of time, but you’ll also experience less stress and find yourself with more free time to do the things you want.

BALANCE YOUR CHAKRAS WITH DYNAMIND HEALING

Do you want to learn special yoga poses and mind-body exercises that can be used to balance each of the seven chakras? In CHAKRA SECRETS, you can follow Rebecca, the workshop leader from The Chakra Diaries, as she tells her side of the story, including explosions of past lives, betrayals, loss, grief and guilt, on her path to becoming a yoga teacher and chakra healer.

FROM CHAKRA SECRETS:

I learned an exciting, simple-yet-profound energy healing tool from Serge Kahili King, PhD, founder of the Huna group, Aloha International. Dynamind was like a simplified version of the Energy Freedom Technique (EFT) and it did have similarities to it, Dr. King said. “But in Huna, we try to make things as simple as possible, as effective as possible, so we’ve combined the power of words, breath, movement and feeling into one mind-body healing technique.”

Dynamind can be used to heal a wide range of physical dis-ease, it was explained. You simply stated out loud what you wanted to change – the problem, pain or discomfort – and tapped, breathed and felt it go away.

Dr. King advised asking yourself what emotion was a problem, where you felt that emotion in the body, and then work on changing that physical sensation to let the healing energy of the body once again flow freely. All emotion manifests within the body with some physical ‘feeling.’ Just as chakra imbalances can manifest in uncomfortable physical and emotional problems.

CHAKRAS AND THE SPIRITUAL REALM

“Keys to the Spirit World” simplifies the process of communicating with your spirit guides, who are always there to help you navigate your path through the physical world.

This book helps you use all the spiritual tools and gifts you were born with, but most likely forgot. As a child, you may have heard your spirit guide(s) through your “inner ear,” but blocked them out as you grew older and more conditioned by society’s rules of what is reality and what isn’t. This book is a breath of fresh air, saying “Yes, you can take guidance from your dreams, inner and outer voices, thoughts, and visualizations.” Plus, O’Neill offers guidance on how to relax and allow communication with your spirit guides to happen. She even includes exercises to help you tear down the walls to spirit communication.

I especially liked the section on chakras and their correlation to spirit communications. O’Neill explains how chakras, our energetic centers, allow information to be received from the spiritual realm and incorporated into the physical body. She takes you one by one through the chakras, with special emphasis on the Heart Chakra, which is elevated and expanded through higher consciousness, the Throat Chakra, used for channeling information during spirit communications, and the Third Eye Chakra, which opens you to clairvoyance and clear seeing.

The author shares some of her own experiences as a child growing up with psychic abilities and the sensations she felt in these chakra areas before she understood their relationship to the spiritual realm.

And she offers 10 Tips for Working with your Spirit Guides, invaluable for anyone who wants to have a stronger connection to spirit and accept guidance on their path.

Have you tried automatic writing, dream journaling or spirit guide meditation? O’Neill offers advice on how to use these tools to connect with your spirit guides. She ends her short yet very comprehensive giude with common blocks to spirit communication and how to solve them.

Communicating with Spirit Guides is immensely valuable – this book gives you the tools you need to take advantage of what is offered to each and every one of us from the spiritual realm.

The Chakra Diaries – FREE KINDLE Today!

"e;Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it. "e; ~ Rumi
"e;In the presence of grace, forgiveness is a recognition that for every wound there is a healing. "e; ~ Deepak Chopra

These are two quotes that appear in The Chakra Diaries, and give an idea of the themes woven through the novel life stories of ten people who find magic and miracles through attending a chakra healing workshop.

The Chakra Diaries is FREE ON KINDLE, all day today, Friday, April 6.

Roger Harris of Indie Author Counsel interviewed me and I’m offering an excerpt of his blog here:

Roger: Why are you offering The Chakra Diaries Free today?
Becca: The Chakra Diaries is a unique book, stories of people’s triumph over the tragedies in their lives. I’ve had great success reaching readers interested in yoga and chakras, but the Kindle Freebie is a way to reach a broader market – readers of women’s lit, inspirational books, dramatic fiction.

Roger: Is using KDP Select part of your overall marketing plan?
Becca: Yes, I’ve learned that having a strategic marketing plan, including a website, blog, using blog tours, author forums, Ezine articles, FaceBook, Twitter and other social marketing sites, as well as the tools Amazon offers its authors, are all important in getting your name out there. Publishing houses no longer spend marketing dollars to promote their new authors, so all authors need to create their own marketing forum.

Roger: What other advice can you offer other Indie Authors?
Becca: I used a professional editor, a professional book cover artist, and Create Space to professionally design my book. I think it’s important for Indie Authors to take every step to make sure their book is every bit as inviting to read as the books we’re all used to. Even eBooks need to be well-formatted with an attention-getting cover. Kindle is the fastest-growing venue to sell your work, so pay attention to your eBook quality – otherwise, Amazon can offer instant refunds to dissatisfied customers.

Roger: I know you’re often asked, are you related to Deepak Chopra?
Becca: In philosophy only. He’s been one of my greatest teachers. And I wouldn’t mind being as prolific an author as he is.

Thanks to Becca for her time (she’s in the midst of writing her next book using the program, NOVEL IN A MONTH), so she’s on a whirlwind writing spree.

Share Your Wisdom – Write A Book!

Have you gone through life’s tough experiences and come out the other end with wisdom to share? My friend Peggy has gone through chemical injury, breast cancer, broken bones and more. And she’s learned methods of coping, plus inspiration to help others as well. So, she’s starting to write. You may have a story to tell as well, and it’s cathartic (which can be good) to get your words out.

Creativity is linked to the second or sacral chakra, which gets strengthened as you flow with the inspiration in your life. As you shout out your message to the world, even on paper, you’ll also be strengthening your throat chakra, which is linked to speaking your truth.

Whether you are writing a self-help work, like I am with Balance your Life, or fiction, as my colleague R. R. Harris is penning with Double Take, it pays dividends to be organized. “An outline is crucial and saves so much time. It tells you where the story is going.” John Grisham

So, how should you start?

TITLE: Give your work a name, or something that can reference your project.

GENRE: : Be flexible as this may change as the plotline and characters and your thoughts morph and develop. List all of the genres that your story might fit into.

POINT of VIEW: Will it change from scene to scene or will the main character narrate in first person throughout? An author friend of mine said that when she began her autobiographical “coming of age” novel that her original intention was to have the first-person voice change as her character grew and matured. However as she drove further and further into the hinterlands of her work, she realized how maintaining that direction complicated her writing and de-railed it from flowing freely from her consciousness. For example, she would have to ensure that her teenager was not speaking with the voice of a worldly and wise, middle-aged maven or vice versa.

Some authors choose voice from scene to scene by weighing what character stands the most to lose. Although unless skillfully written, this approach can leave a reader wondering what is going on and especially, who is talking.

WHO wants, WHAT do they want, WHY do they want it and What/who stands in your character’s way? Not sure where to begin?

“What if X happened? That’s how you start.” Tom Clancy

“Don’t wait to be struck by an idea. If you are a writer, sit down and damn well decide to have an idea. That’s the way to get an idea.” Andy Rooney

SETTING: Can make a story gel into a dish fit for the Queen or alternatively turn it into cold tasteless soup that even hungry flies shun. Of course, there are endless possibilities. You can create memorable characters as at home in the book’s setting as a well worn slipper, but who enliven it and blaze brightly at the slightest provocation. Perhaps others triumph despite all odds or seemingly invincible villains meet their match in a unforeseen avalanche of choices that could not have been forecast.

“Most of our lives are basically mundane and dull, and it’s up to the writer to find ways to make them interesting.” John Updike

HOOK/SPARK: Yeah, the night was dark and stormy and she came to the door with nothing on but the radio, but then what? What will I write in the second paragraph and on page 87 that will keep my reader into the book? Will the last sip of my book be as satisfying as the first, or even more so?

As an author I must constantly ask – have I set-up conflict, created suspense and action and left the reader panting for more? Am I solving a problem the reader has, conveying knowledge or fulfilling a need?

“I want the reader to turn the page without thinking that she is turning the page. It must flow seamlessly.” Janet Evanovich

DON’T QUIT: “Nobody cares whether you write or not, and it’s very hard to write when nobody cares one way or the other. You can’t get fired if you don’t write, and most of the time you don’t get rewarded if you do. But don’t quit.” Andre Dubus

CREATIVE WRITING CHALLENGE – NEW BOOK IN A MONTH!

I spent three years writing my first novel, The Chakra Diaries. Then, a full year on the sequel, Chakra Secrets, which I can happily say is now finished and on the way to the editor.

Now, I’m ready to write the book my students and readers around the world have asked for – Chakra Healing Simplified. I have the title ready, Balance Your Life, and my enormous pile of information at the ready.

I want this book written quickly. So, I decided to jump into a new way of writing for me – an organized routine and structure for writing. I was introduced to this program, NOVEL IN A MONTH, when joining Indie Author Counsel, and I’m going to see if the system works to use both my left and right brain to complete my self-help guide.

Now, are YOU ready to write as well? Laptop at the ready, a rough story outine lying pent-up, cramped into the folds of your brain, awaiting glorious release through your fingertips?

Anton Chekhov suggested that every sentence should spend two days in the brain, lying perfectly still and putting on weight. But using that principle, your work might be completed by the time you are 98 years old.

If you want to join me in the challenge of writing a book in a month, try the program along with me….

Learn how YOU can write your own book in just ONE MONTH, by visiting the official website:

http://www.novelinamonth.com/?afl=90058

I’ll be posting my progress as I move through my outline this week. If you try the program or have other writing advice, please share your comments as well.

Happy writing,

EXPAND YOUR VISION – OPEN THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA

“We have five sense in which we glory… but there are other senses – secret senses, sixth senses, if you will – equally vital, but unrecognized, and unlauded.” ~ Oliver Sacks

The sixth, or Third Eye Chakra, when awakened, gives inspiration, intuition, insight and vision, and opens you to the world of your own psychic powers. It is through this chakra that you may connect to the higher self to seek and receive inner guidance.

Have a hard time keeping an open mind? An unbalanced Third Eye Chakra may impair your judgment, memory, clear thinking and concentration. You may not only have fuzzy thinking, but physical problems like headaches, sinusitis, vision problems, and nightmares. You may be addicted to accumulating material goods.

A balanced Third Eye Chakra helps your imagination soar, and you can draw on your intuitive powers of reasoning. Your psychic and telepathic abilities may be heightened, and you’ll be able to trust your inner wisdom.

YOGA POSES FOR THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA

Start with the Bumble Bee Breath, inhaling deeply then exhaling with the lips vibrating as you make the sound “hmmmmm.” Continue for a few minutes until you feel united with the vibration of the infinite. Then move into Kneeling Yoga Mudra, hands clasped behind you as you tuck the chin toward the chest, bend at the waist and lean forward until your head touches the floor.

THE THIRD EYE CHAKRA MEDITATION

The color blue from the Throat Chakra travels up to the third eye, the chakra of intuition, and turns an indigo color. Here we return to the magic of childhood, to unlimited possibilities, to skills we have always had but which were pushed out of sight. Now we are reintroduced to our true vision, as we breathe in and out the color indigo. We begin to awaken and clarify our inner vision and to have a clear picture of what we want our lives to be. We also awaken to a different kind of seeing, clairvoyance or clear sight, that allows us to look inside and beyond the limits of time and space.

In The Chakra Diaries, Mark cannot follow his true path or see how to use his psychic powers for his own good and the good of others until he balances his Third Eye Chakra. Learn more about how the chakras affect the lives of ordinary people in The Chakra Diaries, on sale at Amazon.com. Then be sure to enter our Hawaii Sweepstakes at www.TheChakras.org.
